SGSC

The Sapporo Global Sports Commission (SGSC), affiliated with the Sapporo City Sports Bureau, is a non-profit organization that uses Hokkaido’s sports resources to help bring international sports events to Hokkaido, thereby supporting the local economy, cultural exchange and visitor numbers.

SGSC aims to showcase Hokkaido's appeal: presenting Hokkaido's unique charm through sports activities. It supports diverse interactions among citizens and groups: providing promotion and other support for various exchange activities to strengthen regional cohesion. It promotes regional revitalization and increases visitor numbers: attracting more participants through sports events and activities, thereby enhancing regional vitality.

The Sapporo Global Sports Commission (SGSC) supports and organizes a variety of sports activities, such as the Sapporo Snow Sports Festival, the 11th Sapporo Winter Olympics, international skiing competitions, the Sapporo Marathon, ice hockey leagues, sports volunteer programs, youth sports education, and large-scale sports events.

The Sapporo Global Sports Commission (SGSC) has successfully introduced more than 20 international events, attracting approximately 100,000 international visitors each year and contributing about 100 million yen to the local economy. More than 5,000 volunteers participate in SGSC-organized events annually. SGSC plays an important role in the sports community of Sapporo and Japan, promoting the growth of sports culture and the regional economy.

LIYITRIP teams up with SGSC to participate in the CITM International Travel Exhibition.

From November 22 to 24, 2024, LIYITRIP, in collaboration with the Sapporo Global Sports Commission (SGSC), took part in the CITM China International Travel Mart as the official representative of Sapporo City. The exhibition strengthened LIYITRIP’s partnership with the Sapporo Global Sports Commission (SGSC). Together, they promoted skiing, hot springs, and cultural experiences in Sapporo and Hokkaido, strengthening their partnership and attracting interest and inquiries from visitors.

Okada Masaru, the Consul General of Japan in Shanghai, visited the booth.

During the exhibition, LIYITRIP focused on introducing travel experiences in Hokkaido, especially ski travel programs exclusively sponsored and supported by SGSC, which attracted strong interest from visitors. The atmosphere inside and outside the booth was lively, and the Consul General of Japan in Shanghai also visited the booth, learning about our activities and praising the team’s work.

During the exhibition, we not only conveyed the unique experiences of skiing and hot spring tours in Hokkaido, but also, as an official partner of Sapporo City, shared core content such as ski instruction and tourism promotion plans, discussing potential partnerships with several businesses. This was an in-depth exchange across regions and cultures, and also built more bridges connecting Hokkaido with the world.

The exhibition was another milestone in the partnership between LIYITRIP and SGSC. During the exhibition, LIYITRIP worked closely with SGSC not only to promote Hokkaido’s skiing and hot spring travel programs but also to provide exclusive travel offers for tourists. Thank you to our team and partners for their hard work, and to everyone who visited us to learn about and book ski trips.

Thanks to every partner who stopped by to interact, and also thanks to the Sapporo City Sports Bureau and the Tourism Agency for their strong support. In the future, LIYITRIP will continue to strive to provide more travelers with unforgettable trips to Hokkaido!

We look forward to seeing you again!
